Addressing recent news relating to the administrative commercial contract signed between Dimesa and the Honduran Institute of Social Security (IHSS), we want to clarify the following:

  1. Our case is under legal proceedings since 2015 and we ask respect for due process of the law. We trust in the correct application of justice.
  1. At no time did there exist any type of damage or patrimonial damage against the IHSS or its beneficiaries.
  1. Our contract was the result of an international public tender approved by all the corresponding legal and governmental instances.
  1. The contract consisted of:
  1. The supply of 500 new state-of-the-art equipment and its financing.
  2. The repair and permanent maintenance of this new equipment and 850 existing equipment.
  3. The supply of unlimited parts, spare parts and accessories.
  4. The permanent training of technicians and operators.
  5. Sending patients to hospitals and private clinics and incurring this cost, when the necessary service could not be given due to failure or maintenance of the equipment.

Thus, it is with this equipment that lives are saved on a daily basis.

  1. DIMESA fully complied with this contract, delivering and maintaining 100% of the biomedical equipment until the date of the unilateral cancellation of the contract on January 31, 2015.

We can affirm that at the date of cancellation all the equipment was used. We have the relevant statistics and supporting documentation.

To the Honduran people, our commitment and that of all our collaborators is to continue working hard to generate the jobs that our country needs.
